Employee Development


Some departments require their employees to hold specific certifications based on their job position.

Employees are encouraged to seek out other certification programs, workshops, seminars, conferences, memberships in professional organizations, professional or state exams, and paramedic certifications* (please see requirements*) that benefit the employee in their position professionally or developmentally. Please reference the Personnel Policy to see the parameters to request development listed above. The District will cover costs associated with the professional development if approved by management. 

Leadership Trainings

Employees are evaluated and counseled on their performance each quarter by their immediate supervisor.

All employees are required to attend mandatory training every quarter via Target Solutions (an online forum). 

Employees are encouraged to seek out leadership or other training on their own. Any fees associated will be covered by the District if the training is beneficial for professional or job development of the employee.
