The Pueblo West Fire Department will participate in the Mass Casualty Incident (MCI) exercise in collaboration with the Pueblo Fire Department and Pueblo County Fire Chiefs on Thursday, Aug. 17. This event offers a significant opportunity for the fire department to enhance its emergency response skills and further strengthen partnerships with neighboring fire departments.
During the exercise, Pueblo West fire personnel will be involved in a scenario that includes a simulated railway accident and a bus collision. This will activate the County's Emergency Operation Center and involve coordination with other agencies. The exercise underscores the Pueblo West Fire Department’s commitment to ensuring the safety and preparedness of our community.
"Our participation in this exercise exemplifies our dedication to collaborative emergency response and our ongoing efforts to effectively serve and protect our community," Pueblo West Fire Chief Brian Caserta said.
