The Pueblo West Metropolitan District Board of Directors is inviting community members to July 20 and July 31 Budget Committee meetings as the Metro District begins development of the 2024 Annual Budget.
This year, a budget committee was formed, consisting of two Board of Directors members (Brian Axworthy and Joe Mahaney) as well as Metro District staff, to guide the development of the 2024 budget. The committee would like additional input from residents as the work of this committee begins.
The budget committee meetings take place at the Metro District Board Room, located at 356 S. McCulloch Blvd. in Pueblo West. The next two meetings are open to the public:
- Thursday, July 20, 1 p.m
- Monday, July 31, 5:30 p.m.
Note: NO ACTION IS TAKING PLACE AT THESE MEETINGS. The function of the budget committee is for discussion of funding priorities, capital projects, and more. Action related to the budget does not take place until December, when the Board of Directors is tasked with passing a budget for the following calendar year. Development of a draft budget will begin this fall.
