Pueblo West Metropolitan District is the fastest growing community in Southern Colorado, serving over 30,000 residents, 50 square miles in size and over 400 miles of roadways. Pueblo West continues to grow because of our attractive dark night skies, Lake Pueblo, mountain views, horse trails and outdoor activities. Proud to serve, Pueblo West Metropolitan District services include; fire and emergency services, streets and roads, parks and recreation, water and wastewater services, committee of architecture, economic development, and administrative services.
With over 300 days of sunshine, close access to one of the largest recreation lakes in Colorado, and just minutes from the Rocky Mountains, it is no wonder Pueblo West is considered southern Colorado’s gateway to outdoor recreation.
Just minutes away from some of the best fishing, boating, water skiing, hiking, horseback riding, and mountain biking Colorado has to offer, and just down the road from attractions like Lake Pueblo State Park, the Royal Gorge Bridge and Park, and the Historic Arkansas Riverwalk of Pueblo, Pueblo West is truly the gateway to recreation.
With seven recreation parks, a 3.75-acre fishing pond, 18 miles of maintained recreation trails, an 18 hole golf course in the heart of the community, and 300 days of sunshine each year, Pueblo West has many options for an active outdoor and healthy lifestyle.

With Pueblo West being an attractive place for families and retirees, there are many healthcare service providers close by to serve the health needs of our community.
Parkview Medical Center has a variety of locations around the Pueblo area serving different needs, including an emergency services location in Pueblo West.
Living a healthy and active life is key to preserving health, and with gyms and fitness centers close by, along with all the recreation opportunities, there is ample opportunity to keep things moving.
With the housing market soaring throughout Colorado, Pueblo West is an excellent option for housing as our home prices remain far less than most other highly populated areas of the state. The average sales price of a single-family home in Pueblo County through April of 2020 was $219,903, year-to-date; compared to the statewide average of over $400,000. Not only that, but with large parcels, open space, and easy access to so many desirable things in the surrounding region, it’s a consideration worth looking into!
Pueblo West is also the safest community in Pueblo County, making it a great place for kids and parents to live and play. Our community has consistently had low and declining crime rates in categories ranging from assault, homicide, burglary, and more.

The diverse agriculture base fuels our community’s culture with flavors from our heritage.
Local farmers on the St. Charles Mesa, just 20 minutes away, regularly sell their goods, including regional favorites like the Pueblo Chile at farmers markets in Pueblo West during the warm months.
